A British tourist was bitten on the leg by a crocodile in Queensland, Australia, earlier this week.
She was standing on a creek and filming the local wildlife when the croc suddenly dived out of the water and went straight for her.
A Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (EHP) spokesperson released a statement in which the crocodile was described as being up to 2.5 meters long.
Ally Bullifent shared the footage on Facebook and you can check out yourself below. The crocodile really does jump out of nowhere, showing just how sneaky and scary these incredible predators can be.
The EHP has plans to carry out an assessment in the area and has said the crocodile may be 'removed', which would imply that it would be placed in a crocodile farm or zoo.
This story just goes to show that you never know what nature might have in store for you, so be careful out there!
