Everyone has their view on snow. Some people love it, others despise it, but there's no denying that at this time of year, waking up to a blanket of white covering your local area is a pretty beautiful sight.
Residents of Erie, Pennsylvania have been treated to some exceptional snowfall over the Christmas period, with a record-breaking 34 inches of snow falling in the space of a single day!
Between December 23 and 26, more than five feet of snow fell on the city, forcing authorities to declare an emergency.
Citizens have been encouraged to stay indoors and driving is almost impossible in these conditions. Meteorologists say that cold air fronts moving across the Great Lakes have caused the snowfall, and they predict that more snow is on the way for the region in the days to come!
