You probably know Gwendoline Christie for her performance as Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones. Her character is one of the toughest on the show and greatly loved by fans.

Christie stands out from many of her female costars due to her height, and she recently opened up about her unique physical appearance.

"I don't think many  female actors get the opportunity to play a part where they're not having to think about the way their face looks, but I found exactly the same thing with Brienne of Tarth, and that was very liberating."

That 'liberty' is also visible in her social life, where she reveals she never backs down from wearing heels.

Despite being 6'3", she loves to feel even taller by stepping into a pair of heels.

"I hope it helps change people's perceptions of what beauty is."

"I think my size, or the roles that I've been lucky enough to play, have helped people see a broader definition of femininity. It's important that all kinds of people are represented onscreen," Gwendoline shared.

She's totally right, too! It's about time these old-fashioned ideas of 'beauty' and 'femininity' finally stopped being spread around. Beauty comes in so many shapes and sizes, and people should be encouraged to feel comfortable and positive about their own bodies and styles.

Gwendoline openly admits that her height isn't even a concern for her. Instead, it's something she embraces fully!

Well done Gwendoline!
